Make sure your suspension is in good order and drop the air pressure down to 18 psi, then it'll feel like being on a cloud!
Dump the 20 inch wheels for 18 or 17 inch wheels and dump the LT tires for P-Metric Michelin Defenders.

I'm not really knowledgeable about dropped suspensions, but intuitively, I don't think that dropping the suspension alone will result in a more 'cloud-like' ride. I believe that you will need to make additional mods like stated by @swathdiver.

King coil overs are about the best of the best and you can lift or lower by adjusting the collar on the coil over
Air ride would be nice also if you want it more stock or lowered it would be easier to adjust and cost about the same for longevity and daily driving I would go the coil over route they can custom build you a set for stock height if that’s what your looking for

I haven't got a clue as to what it feels like the be on a cloud. I think the closest I could come is while I am sitting on my leather seats and my ass cheeks are pinched together from the downward pressure, and then I let a fart that stays trapped between those cheeks and the outward pressure fluffs those cheeks and then......I guess that is as close as I can come. Happy trails!

That's actually what I'm considering doing with mine. I don't want to lift my Tahoe, love how it looks lowered, but the stiff ride is starting to hurt my back and can get a bit annoying at times.
I've been talking with a company in CA who sells a set coil-overs up front and shocks in the rear but I would need to be stock height at minimum for them to work. They also include all the shock tuning and have different levels of tuning available. Still debating if I want to give up my lowered stance though. Even though I love pre-runners I'm not sure what to do.
Also, Kings are on back order and may take up to 6/8 months to get, maybe sooner if you're lucky.

Honestly, I'm not sure.
It doesn't look like it because of the lower mounting body is rather large. Don't quote me on that though haha.

It'd be a way to have your sister and bang her, too. At least in the front. For the rear, you might not get away with just shock extenders, depending on the dimensions of their shocks and your amount of drop.

You are right, since mine is lowered the suspension in the back is very stiff and does occasionally hurt my back. I have shorter springs in the rear of my suv. I just want a super comfortable ride

I have never been into bagged suspension for some odd reason. I think as I get older, I want a smoother more forgiving ride. But, that has always been in the back of my head that they would fail. If you think your ride stiff now, wait until a bag fails, ouchy.
I definitely agree that they look much better lowered. Mine is lowered about 5 up front and close to 7 out back
.I like pre-runner style trucks to because they are not super jacked up for the most part stock height or slightly taller with tons of suspension travel. The company I'm talking to said they could accommodate my needs and still get 10" of travel if I wanted to go fast off-road haha.

What is an XFe?
In general, lowered suspensions have less suspension travel. So unevenness in the road is transmitted more abruptly to your backbone.
Starting around 1970 off-road motorcycles and racing trucks and sedans started converting to longer travel suspensions and shocks to keep tires in contact with the surface below them and to reduce wear and tear on the rest of the vehicle.
Originally, a "fore-runner" was a less extreme vehicle used for practice on an off-rad (off pavement) course.
The best riding and performing vehicle I've owned was an ex highway patrol 1995 Chevrolet Caprice (9C1 law enforcement package) with longer suspension travel than the comparable 1995 Chevrolet Super Sport which was lowered for "appearance" sake. Law enforcement customers were more interested in real world performance than appearance.
I put the Chevy 9C1 springs and shocks under my wife's 1995 Buick Roadmaster with the soft-ride suspension and got 1.5 inch more ground clearance and better ride both.
My 2016 LT Tahoe came from the factory with 18 inch wheels and P265/65R18 tires. Someone put on 20 inch wheels and 275/55R20 tires with the same overall diameter. The 20 inch combination has one inch less sidewall between the wheel and the pavement to absorb bumps.
When it was getting time to replace the tires, I started looking for a set of new take-off 18 inch wheels on CraigsList. I bought a set of four and put them on with the Michelin 265/65R18 LTX M/S Defenders and believe I got a ride improvement. Using the P tire instead of the LTX M/S might have been better yet.
I sold the 20 inch wheel and tires to someone who wanted the 20 inch wheel appearance.
BTW, my Tahoe came from the factory with a 17 inch spare wheel and 265/70R17 tires with the same overall tire diameter as the 18 and 20 inch tires. The law enforcement 9C1 Tahoes come with 17 inch wheels and 265/60R17 tires. Police model Crown Victorias also came with 65R17 tires.
