2003 Denali XL, 200,000 miles...

My climate control light has suddenly gotten much too bright, like double as bright as it should be... the surrounding lights on the control are normal brightness, just the blue temp is extra bright.

The only other thing I have noticed is my oil pressure gauge seems to also all of a sudden, read much lower....
Are the two issues somehow related?

My oil pressure has been very good and very steady for the almost 2 yrs I have owned it. It is at 40 idle and startup, under hard acceleration goes up to 60+, never below 40....
Recently it is idling at 25 and tops out under acceleration at 40.

???

Might check grounds on the control, and those and gauge connections in general.

EDIT: does it dim and brighten with the other dash lights?

Yes it dims and brightens with the rest, just twice as bright high or low....
