clearing stock headlight

As the title says, I am interested in clearing the stock headlight. Like opening it up and taking out the orange reflector. Anyone ever done it? Pics? Or should I take it out and paint it white or black? Opinions?

I heard it is much harder to open these new Tahoe headlights than it used to be, and especially versus the Yukon housings. For whatever reason it isn't sealed the same way the Yukon's headlights are, so most people here that wanted to do this mod just painted part of the outside of the housing black.

I did the black housings on my yukon, and blacked out the orange on the side. it isnt that hard, I've done about 7 black housings. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to take them apart then use high temp silicone to seal the back up..
