I have a 2005 Denali with chrome 20" ck805 wheels. A few times now I've lost tire pressure because the chrome is peeling and corroded on the lip where the tire seals.

The tire place has buffed it and resealed it a few times over the years, but I would like to fix this if its reasonably possible.

Has anyone heard of a way to fix this problem short of a complete rechrome?

Very common problem. The rust and corrosion on the beads have to ground down and sealant applied. Depeniding on how bad they are, this may or may not be successful. I deal with this about once a year. I think they'll get bad enough at some point, they may not be able to seal properly.
