Chevy HD guages in 01 Yukon?

I am going to install a tranny temp in the yukon and I was wondering if it was possible to add a 2001 Chevrolet HD guages and plug them into my yukon and the factory tranny temp guage on the HD cluster work?

If it wouldnt work, do you know a way that I can make it work?



I need a tranny temp but I like the factory look alot better than adding a pod somewhere for it

im sure it will work.. dont go any newer than 2002 as the 03s and up wont work

I really didnt think that the guage would work, I figured that I would have to find a sending unit from gm and do some wiring. This is going to be nice.

I did the same with my 2004. Plug and play. 15 mins tops.

Yep, nice thing about it is that everything is already there to monitor trans temp, minus the gauge obviously.

I put a 02 Esky cluster in my 00 Yukon. I was totally surprised to find the trans temp gauge worked.

do you keep your original mileage if you swap gauge clusters?

I bought the gauge motor and soldered it in to my 04 cluster. Worked like a charm! I didnt want to swap clusters because of inaccurate miles and the cost.
