Hey ya'll. I'm on my second Tahoe and have been lurking around this site for a while. First one was an '07 LTZ RWD I got back in 2014. I had the transmission rebuilt at 200K miles, but got rid of it due to persistent issues after the rebuild. The newest one is a '99 LS 4x4 that I couldn't help but take a gamble on. I picked it up about 2 weeks ago, as is at 155K miles. So far I've replaced the driver side interior door handle and took it to the shop to have a new fuel pump and filter put in today. Will be replacing the front brakes with the Powerstop truck and tow upgrade kit from rockauto this week. Rear brakes were replaced about 5000 miles ago according to the service history and seem to be in decent shape. Also looking at replacing the front lower ball joints within the next month or so. Look forward to taking advantage of the knowledge available here and hope to contribute where I can.

Nice! I picked up an 04 z71 back in October with only 115k on it for 7k. Best of all that was actually a little less than the equity I had in my 2018 Colorado z71. The dealer actually cut me a check, lol. That's how crazy used trucks have been going for.

Anyways love my Tahoe and working on it. Did the torsion bar bracket bushings, waterpump, alternator, and a few small things. Next up is Energy Suspension sway bar bushings, and a fuel pump that works fine, but the check valve is bad inside the pump. Also one of the knock sensors is out and I temporarily tied both together to get my by for a bit. Love how easy it is to work on this truck!

Welcome from Miami Beach Tyler!

Looks awesome!! Nice color. I see why you bought it. That is definitely hard to find in that condition.

Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

Gamble, huh! That is a nice looking rig. Hope the frame and under carriage look in as good of shape. I have no idea what you paid for it but if you are happy that is all that counts. Lots of threads on here for the OBS rigs. Those things look sharp.
