Hi all,
Been having CarPlay audio cut out more than usual lately, so I thought I'd revisit this. I assume I'm not alone. 2023 Yukon Denali. Audio cuts out on CarPlay regularly, usually in clusters. It happens a few times back to back and then won't happen for a while. The screen does not cut out, only audio. I am typically connected wirelessly to CarPlay. But I have even had this happen (albeit less frequently) when using a wired CarPlay connection, which confuses me.

Any advice?
Thanks!

Sporadic Audio Cutout is a know issue that GM has yet to resolve (Been going on in my 2022 since about March of 2022)

See Concern 2 in the bulletin.

So presumably, it could happen with any audio source. I just happen to use CarPlay exclusively. What a great answer though…. “Shrugs, don’t do anything to try to help the customer with their $85k+ vehicle.”
Yes, this is the one remaining "glitch" that is still in my vehicle...been waiting for it to get fixed..but apparently is a super difficult problem to nail down....either that or really low on the priority list since it doesn't affect safety, function, etc..

I get this in my '23 Denali, too. Just glitchy software, I suppose. Pretty silly that the problem persists after an audio software update done at the dealership a few months ago (might even be worse now)...

Been since day on (Feb 2022) on mine...so not holding my breath on a fix anytime soon.

This happened in my '23 Yukon since about day one. Thought it was just a glitch until the amp went out and the whole dashboard went crazy. Had to replace amplifier in March, but wasn't under warranty. Wish I would have gone in on day one. But it "glitched" few days ago and warranty is 2 years. Hoping they will replace it.

Came to see if anyone else is having the same audio cutout that I’m having in my 2021 Yukon SLT. Seems I’m not alone.

For me, it’s all audio: CarPlay, terrestrial radio, satellite radio, ph calls, even the turn signal audio clicks go silent. There doesn’t appear to be a rhyme or reason to when it happens.

It didn’t start happening until it was out of bumper to bumper warranty so I haven’t asked the dealer about it.

I’ll continue to follow to see if anyone has any bright ideas.

I have a 2022 Yukon SLT and mine cuts out also. Happens shortly after putting it in drive and cuts for part of a second 3-5 times. Even the sound of the turn indicator cuts out. I'm always using CarPlay so I can't say other sources of audio cut out as well.

My 21 Denali does this with the phone confected by wireless and I sporadically get the sd card removed message and the phone disconnects when it is plugged in, by either the port in the front of the console or under the armrest. Is there a fix for this yet?

I have a volume issue, not cutting out. Volume seems to go up and down with a mind of its own. Does anyone else have that problem? 2025 Suburban

No. I take it you don't have the volume set to change based on the speed you're going (I forget the acronym of the setting)...?

I know what you are talking about, but no, that is not it. It also doesn't seem to matter what the media input is... CarPlay, bluetooth, XM, FM.

Sometimes it will sporadically increase VERY loud, and then decrease by itself. If I manually decrease volume, it will increase while I am trying to turn it down.

Today, it was at a normal level and then lowered itself... all the way off.

My audio cut out is becoming more frequent. Either way, I think I’m gonna have to have the dealer fix it, but I’d like to know what the issue is, and perhaps if there is an easy fix.

Again, it’s all audio regardless of the source
