im swapping from always having a truck to the 2018 Tahoe soon(going tomorrow to order). I plan on removing the 3rd row when it arrives. I’m a general contractor, don’t do a ton of the manual labor myself anymore, but still need certain tools at any given time.

In my 15 Silverado I have decked tool drawers that I love. I’ll have to further condense what tools I carry regularly down no matter what after the Tahoe arrives.

After the 3rd row seat removal I should gain a little extra height in the cargo area. Wondering if anyone has or has seen a setup like the decked system. I’m thinking maybe 2 drawers(insure the height), but with hard top so I can still use the cargo area. I’d prefer for it not be something that I build and look out of place.

I’m new here, and have scrolled back a ton searching. I’ll continue in the mean time waiting for a response. Thanks

Fire departments put customized command boxes in the back of their TAHOES AND Suburbans to carry equipment and command boards safely. Perhaps one of those conversion shops could help.

I have a Truck Vault in my Yukon XL without the third row. It's amazing and I love it, but my wife couldn't believe I spent 2 grand on a tool box.
