Looks awesome! Post up some more once you get all your accessory belt stuff on. Are you going with stock serpentine setup?

Yes I am using the stock brackets which will require me to run a power steering pump. I’m sure all of you know that these trucks never came with PS. Summit Racing sells a conversion kit to switch it to PS. It’s been super easy to install. But I think I might run into a little problem with the headers. I’m still waiting on the headers to arrive in the mail. Here’s some pictures of what I’m talking about. I’m hoping if there is a fitting issue I can correct it with a hammer.

I also bought the adapter brackets for the LS engine to be installed in the truck.

You can see where originally I was going to install the engine with the brackets on the engine, but I decided it would be easier to fit the brackets on the frame and then install the engine. Once the engine is mounted to the transmission and adapter brackets I can weld the adapters to the frame.

curious...why did you decide to carb the LS rather than running fuel injection?

Cool build, by the way :waytogo:

i grew up broke so all my early vehicles were carbed. i liked being able to tune it myself with some basic tools. i used to have a 79 f150 i got through the family. nice truck street rod tilt with wide tires in the back. i also had an 86 f250 i used to use for towing and hauling. that truck was a monster until i spun the bearings. if i ever get another 3rd gen camaro i will definitely be torn between fi or carbed.

Yeah, some people just plain prefer carb'd motors. Just curious on the OP's perspective :)
