I have a 2000 chevy tahoe with stock 16x7 rims. Its lifted 3 inches. Can I fit 305/70/r16? I'm mainly worried about the width (12.5 inches)

Shouldn't be any problem at all. 285's on stock wheels fit with almost no lift, just a small leveling of the stock keys (1-1 1/2"). If you've got 3", you will have no problem being tall enough. But, I'd suggest a wider wheel (16x8 or 16x10) with a bit LESS backspacing, so your tires don't scrub your control arms or t-bars on the inside. At the very least, put some 1 1/2 - 2" spacers on if you are going to keep the stock wheels.
