Can anyone do a write-up for an install of the DDM HID kit?

I've got zero knowledge of wiring, but have a brand new DDM HID low kit with a harness, and no idea how to put the thing in my '08 Suburban. I saw Modded's write up, (great job btw) but what I'm looking for is more focus on the kit, what goes where (wires) and maybe how much time it would take for a novice to complete. Pics would be awesome, but not necessary as long as the writer uses small words and solid punctuation. Thanks in advance, I know this is a dead horse for most of you veterans.

I can do one when I get my kit in. Should be here any day now and might get to it this weekend.

Remove light assembly by turning the two pins a pulling them out. Remove old bulbs. Install new bulbs. Find a nice spot to mount the ballast. Take your factory bulb plug and plug it into the ballast. Take the two wires from the bulb and plug them into the ballast.

If the light does not fire, remove the stock plug from ballast and turn it over and plug it back in.

Its very simple, hardest part is mounting the ballast

I just noticed the year of your truck. Im not sure if that is how the nnbs trucks lights are in there. With the pins. But it should be all plug and play. Just like replacing your bulbs.

if it nnbs you might have to remove the front fascia . that's how we installed the emergency lites. CHECK with your dealership (parts) and ask them for a printout on headlamp replacement.

You should be able to do it without removing the headlights. Removing them is a bit of a pain. I'll take pictures etc as I go. Hoping they'll be in this week, but not sure.

thanks guys, yes it is nnbs, and it's a pita compared to nbs. the headlights i can manage to remove, it's just the wiring/ballast locations i haven't been able to tackle just yet. think i'm gonna put the driver's side ballast on the spare battery plate, but no idea on the passenger side.

TBH...I just let my ballast kinda sit behind the headlights. Never been an issue and i have had HIDs in it for about 3 years. I didn't zip tie them or mount them at all.

But either way, as long as you order the right HID for your truck then its just plug and play. They only fit together one way.
