I noticed the other day, while changing tranny fluid, that the backside of my chrome plated, metal front bumper was rusting. So, I plan on removing it and sanding, priming the back. Seems easy enough, but according to the Haynes manual, I need to remove grille, lights, etc, just to get bumper off.
This isn't a big deal, but they also recommend disabling the SRS Air bag sys. Ok, this is becoming a pain now. Can I forgo the SRS disable. I would seem very unlikely that I would set off the air bags by removing the bumper.
I mean, if it were that easy to set off air bags, any bump to the bumper would do it.
