make sure you get some pics of the install, and if you have to massage them any for clearance.

Anyone know the torque / hp amount the stock convertor and transmission can take? Also any feedback from using the following vendors

Yank convertors / Finishline Transmissions
Precision convertors / RPM Transmissions

They all seem like good solid companies that make good HP / Torque holding products.

Thanks

dude, dont even dick around with that 4L60/5/70.
Go straight to a 4L80!

I don't give two turtle ***** who builds that stock trans, it WILL NOT HOLD UP to the abuse your about to put it through.
A low milage 4L80 with a shift kit will handle more than your builders "built 4L60/5/70 any damn day and do it for YEARS! not months.

Your tossing all that cash on a motor that will shit all over that trans in just a cpl months.

Be smart...

Haha thanks boss for the advice how much can the 80 hold and I'very been reading that it's quite a bit of work to find all the pieces for the transmission like the drive shaft and cross member and tcm to get it to work. I'll look for a wreaked truck with it at the salvage yard

Its as easy as getting on performancetrucks.net and finding the sticky with the part numbers.
There is nothing hard about it..

Find a JY with a wrecked 1500HD, 2500HD, 3500HD and pull the entire drive train out, including dipstick, cooler lines. and cross member.
Do this and 80% of your issues are taken care of.

then get the best Yank converter you can, call and talk to them directly, get a part number from them, then hit the vendors here or at PT.net for a discount.

There was no need for that dragonslayer crank. the guys here are right. unless your shooting for +800 stock crank is A OK...
Look into a ON3 Turbo kit $1900, you can go FI for 2500$ and with the build you have... 20psi is doable... that will be in the 700hp or higher club..
It recirculates wastegate and with simple mods you can use your OEM MAF and recirculate the BOV back into CAI, for the stealth mode.
Yess, the 80 will hold it if your tuned right and its got a shift kit in it.

Parts are slowing rolling into the shop....slowly being the key word as the rotating assembly has been delayed for a week so far. I'll post picks of the other goodies as well as I am looking at used 4l80 transmissions.
