My brakes feel fine until you have to brake with any force. The truck shimmers and the brake makes a noise that sounds like a fart/dull squeak. I've never redone the rotors so I'm hoping it's a rotor problem not a master cylinder. What do y'all think it is?

What's your brake setup? Stock? Drilled/slotted rotors?

One thing to look at, not saying this will solve your issue, but get a scan tool and check your wheel speed data. If there’s one that’s cutting out at low speed, which gm wheel speed sensors are known to do, you’ll get an unwanted abs activation resulting in the symptoms you are having. Again, not sayin this is your problem but it’s just something to look into.

The abs seems to only come on at 10-0 mph so I'm hoping it's just a bad sensor

Sounds about right. Parking lot coasting...

Hope so brother, keep us posted!
so my wheel bearing was bad, which made the wheel shake, which made abs come on. all fixed now. hopefully this spell of maintence work is over (axle seal, rotors/pads, bearing, abs).

Your ABS can make a groan noise or what you may think sounds like a fart. I would not think it is a fart noise unless you get that damn smell right along with it. At that point I would blame "organic" brake pad compound as the culprit. But that of course IMO.
