Im looking into doing the SSBC rotors and maybe keeping the drum to disc kit and doing the hydroboost eventually. once the whipples on, ill deff need the hydroboost.

I have the pads installed but hit a workstoppage until next month becuase of a drum brake backplate problem so the vehicle is disabled for brake seating testing right now. Hope to solve the problem with a mobile welding outfit so as not have to take the axle assembly apart and would only cost $100 and half an hour.

I have powerslots but would not add cross-drilling to that. It is only good for appearance and reducing inertial mass. Like track racing. The more materail you remove the less of a heat sink you have. I call it quits at slots for for street vehicles. Crossdrilled rotors are not practical for vehicles of these sizes. It just removes to much metal. If more cooling is needed it is more practical to invent some cooling ducts for this purpose.

i was worried about rust too but they have held up good, no rust or cracks. i got them more for the looks since i couldn't afford the big brake kit. but i didn't feel too much difference in stopping power until i got the EBC pads. IMO they're worth the price

Dang im still torn between the 3... But I think Im gonna go with the HPS Hawk pads... And and heres some part #'s...

HPS HAWK pads: HB296F.670 police package pads
ATE Rotors: CW33703 just double the quantity its bith left and right
PowerSlots: 126.66025(c for cryo)S(L for left R for right)
R1 Concepts: EDS.66025 for the pair

Amazon does not carry the cryo version of the rotor layout though it it sells the regular slotted for $110 each. Funny that my 6-lug power slots were $66 for a 4x4.

please excuse my France, but where the hell did you find powerslots for $66? The cheapest ive found is tirerack for 86.99

at the time a merchant through amazon had them at that price and had one of each side being fulfilled from an Amazon warehouse left so I pounced. However the hawk pads cost me 96 from amazon itself and cost more than tire rack at that time but with the Amazon prime membership I have I get anything in a amazon warehouse at two-day shipping free and faster order processing so I still made out better and faster than other merchants.

Wasn't there a guy here who seperated the hub and rotor and made it so he could run 2 piece rotors ... I could have sworn I've seen that discussion here. It's a common on second gen Camaros to use a 3rd gen rotor/hub, cut off the rotor part and machine down the left overs to run Vette C5/C6 rotors ...

Very. I bought HP SuperDuty brake pads HB332P.654 for my application. A little better then then the suv grade with a little more dust and noise which I don't mind according to tire rack. I have decided to do new brake lines now as well but I am retaining the stock calipers for now. I think I am going to replace them though because the hardware is sticking in the caliper. Because of the backing plate problem I will have to wait till 1 week of next month to install new rear linings drums and hardware and will also do all the lines as well. I will know how well it works then.

Yes they are... Im gonna wait till I get my HPS Hawk pads (1/2 ton) and 3/4 calipers in and put it all in at the same time...
