I sometimes get a very slight rebound in my brake pedal during moderate braking. I’m thinking it may have something to do with the hydro boost or anti-lock. It doesn’t pulse. Any ideas?

it could also (maybe) be a sign of warped rotors, if you are a diy type of person you could pull the rotors off and have them resurfaced, most places only charge $10-15 dollars if you take them to them.

Have you changed your fluid lately? Air pocket? Also check your abs sensors and have the code read. They don’t always throw a light

Would you elaborate on what you mean by rebound?

The pedal gives a very quick/light kick back. It doesn’t do it very often. Maybe a couple of times a week

The rotors are pretty new and have zero run out. The fluid is only about a year old, maybe about 4K miles. Don’t have any codes.

For the most part the brakes work very well. I use E Coated rotors and Akebono pads.

Have hydroboost? That kickback was a symptom a shop gave me when telling me my hydroboost needed replacing.

That’s what I think it is. It doesn’t happen enough to track it down. It’s not a big deal right now

When you do get it diagnosed be sure to have the power steering pump tested for adequate/consistent pressure at various RPMs. PS hoses in good shape?
