Stock brakes are kind of weak and I am going to be towing a bit so I was wondering what my options are as far as a brake upgrade? On my 97 LT1 camaro I was able to swap the spinels and upgade to an LS1 F-body caliper and rotor. Are there any of those types of options avalible on a 98 Tahoe 4dorr 2wd?
If not what are the aftermarket options if any?

I went with the 8500 GVW 3/4 ton Caliper and brake pad upgrade on my Yukon, stops a whole lot better. I am using the Performance Friction pads and A1 calipers both with lifetime warranties for less than 80 bucks And dont forget to get the stainless steel braided hose lines too!!!

Is the 3/4 ton caliper still the "one big piston" design. I could probably Google or look it up on Autozone but I'm lazy. LOL

I would like a multi-piston design caliper ...

Will the 3/4 ton caliper work with a drop spindle? Assuming so, but curious.

I believe they came on 2wd 2500 pickups. but they maybe the same ones on 4wd as well. I only quote the 2500 2wd pickup because it is the closest thing to my 2wd Tahoe. But I know the rotors off a 2500 2wd are 6 bolts instead of 5 bolts. I have found at summit the larger rotors with 5 lugs to fit them.
