Just wondering if the steering on these trucks typicaly feels flakey, and a little unsafe. Noticed play in the wheel as well as a very disconnected feeling on the highway, especially during turns at 50+ mph. Had these components changed out, still feels so disconnected on the road, and I can't say I feel comfortable daily driving this thing (03 Yukon SLE). Thanks in advance.

It can be, especially if you have worn steering components. Steering gear, idler arm, pitman arm, tie rod ends, etc. Wheel bearings, too. Had a good shop look over the front end?

Also check the sway bar bushings and end links for wear, and make sure the front bumper (jounce) stops are in good shape and sitting correctly on the control arms.

Do you have rpo ZW7? Do you feel it strictly in the frontend, or does the rear feel disconnected also?
