Tired of cold rig. Had a heated garage last 2yrs and forgot how much I hate dealing with the cold and waiting on rig to heat up.

Found these parts and looks like it’s a simple plug n play install. Can someone confirm?

For <$60 I feel this is a very worthwhile addition. As long as I get the correct parts and it truly plugs right up.

Not sure if this is the right code but do your glovebox RPO codes include K05?

yes just plug-n-play, sometimes if your lucky it's already there, they just hide the wire and you have to look down there in that location and see if it is there already or not.

Yep it's PnP

Though I think it's worth noting: This doesn't preheat your block. Only stops it from getting too chilly. You won't have instant heat. If you want that, you'll need to look into a circulating preheater, which will typically splice into your heater core hoses

I didn’t see K05 on the RPO sheet. Will do some digging tomorrow in the light and physically look.

But after some googling, I discovered the PCM will potentially throw a CEL that occurs if you modify the cord so the heater works when I WANT vice 0F like CHEVY WANTS.

Not sure I want to drop $60 for a useless mod. Useless because it never gets to 0F here in CT. Lowest seems to be 5F

I did read that the PCM has a Block Heater go/no go circuit.
