I only put fancy diff covers on my rock crawler where it needs them. Why not just paint the stock cover and use it?

Agreed. Run the stock one that works fine since nobody will see it anyway and use the $$$ elsewhere.

Ended up going with the g2 rear diff cover guys thanks for the input. What gear oil should I go with and there saying don't run synthetic or it will void the warranty.

Why would you NOT run synthetic oil? It's just superior lubrication on every level. With those new gears and TT inside there I personally wound not run anything else.

G2 is nice. I have that cover on an axle. I usually run generic 75 or 80-90 oil. I don't do synthetic as it isn't needed. Check Detroit's recommendation. I know ARB required something different.

The purple oils (Mystic or Royal Purple) are considered premium I believe. Mystic is cheaper. I've ran that a few times.

A quality petroleum/mineral based oil works best in the Truetrac units. We do not recommend synthetic oil. Friction additive/modifier is not required.
