Hey there, haven’t been on here in a while, as my 09 suburban has worked flawlessly in the 5 years and 100k miles I’ve had it.

Recently have been having some HVAC issues, it started with my compressor going out about a month ago,
Had it replaced by a GM dealer.

When picking up the car and they advised me that the driver side blend door actuator seems to have died,
Car was blowing hot air regardless of the temperature set.

They tried to recalibrate it with no success.

The strange thing is that I replaced all 3 actuators last year, so it is a bit strange that it would fail again.

Now I took off the actuator and it seems to be working just fine.

I’m able to calibrate it with my OBD tool and it moves the way it should,

The pin that the actuator is supposed to move to adjust temperature tho, seems to be stuck,
I’m able to turn it by hand about 1/4 of a turn, that’s it.
The temperature goes from very hot, to still pretty warm.

I’ve tried researching this online and I can’t seem to find anything regarding a stuck or broken blend door.

Has anyone experienced a problem like
this before ?
Thx !

I've never been in there. but could drill a small. hole in the plastic, stick a bore scope in there. one of the flexy heads are useful. see what's going on in there, and then plug it back up with either a snap in cap, or some metal hvac tape.

So the actual door is stuck it seems. Well, the only way I know is to put the dash in the service position and remove the entire HVAC and separate the halves and replace the broken/stuck door with a new one. Maybe a rodent got in there and made a nest which jammed/broke the door.

The driver's side Temperature Valve (Door) is 89018306.

That's a good idea suggested to you, to drill a small hole and use a camera to inspect inside and see if you can get it moving again.
