I have an 08 Tahoe Hybrid and lately the head unit sometimes takes 10-15 minutes or longer to come on. It's not every time, either. Yet, all the lights around the buttons and dials work, and the radio works. I can change stations, adjust the volume, etc., both on the headunit itself or on the steering wheel with no problems.

I can't afford to change this unit out!! Ain't cheap!

U can get a cheap chinese unit for 200 or better, not gonna find those factory uits cheap and prob not worth it to pull it and send it out.
