I have a spare set of 20 inch rims for my 06 tahoe Z71 I wanted to put some BFGoodrich KO2s 275/55R20 on. My truck is at stock height I wanted to know if these tires will rub.

When I bought my 04 Z71, the PO had some nice Torque Thrust rims on there. He was going for more of a "street" look. The tires he had on there were low profile sport-treads. Just too slick and too fat for me in New England winters. Would be like banana peels...

Anyway, the tires I had on there were Yokohama Parada.
285/50 R20

Mine did not rub. Although... I tend not to turn the wheel lock to lock anyway.

I don't think yours would rub.

Here is how yours and mine compare:

While our truck body generations are different (NBS vs NNBS), I run 305/50x20 Michelin Defenders tires on my 07 Yukon XL Denali with no rubbing. This tire is 32 inches tall, and I have no issues driving in NH winters.

Your 800s were designed to run the 265-70-17 tire which is basically the same height as the ones you want to run. The 900s use both tire sizes interchangeably. You should be fine.

The only caveat is the wheels, they will work fine if the offset is stock or close to it.

So I went an got some 275/65r 20 for all 4 tires instead of the 275/55r20's like I mentioned above. I took a picture of the front driver side tire how it'll sit with the full weight of the truck on the ground. It looks like I'll have to put a small lift kit and possibly wheel spacers on to get this to work. The black wire in the 2nd picture is the only thing that the tire will rub when I had the wheel turned close to lock

Can you not relocate the wire? I can't tell from the pictures. Also, I wouldn't hate seeing pictures of a mockup. :)
