best way to get bigger tires

I was considering going the lowering route, but.... I don't want to buy body parts as the roads here suck and i live in a rural area and go down gravel roads often.
So after I finish my 6.0 my next project will be getting a more aggressive stance using the wheels I have if possible (20x8.5).

Is it possible to get 33" with a body-lift or should I just save for a 6" lift and get some 35's

I need to paint my wheels black :(

i believe if you get a leveling kit which are only a couple hundred you can fit 33s.

keys and spacers and you should fit 33's easy. i've got 32's on at stock height.

yes keys and spacers can do 33s or u can do a 3in body lift and fit 33s. which is cheaper or u can spend the money on a 6inch and some 35s! any q's u can pm me.

If your only going to put 33's on it I would just do Keys and spacers. Body lifts aren't the best way to raise a truck imo.

Go with ford keys and 2" spacers and you will fit 33s no problem. Some have even fit 35s
A 3" body lift will clear 35s no problem same with a 6" lift.

Ford keys go anywhere from $50 to $80 depending where you look. They are they same as the advertised leveling kits just cheaper. you can find 1.5"-2" spacers on ebay no problem for around the same price.

leveling kits are a joke, dont waste your time. If you want to fit some bigger wheels/tires just crank up the stock torsion bars, its gets only about a 1/2 inch less of a lift than a 200 dollar set of keys would... save your money cuz its not worth it, i spent 200 on superlift ones and im pissed.

if u end up putting any blocks in the rear, make sure they are steel instead of aluminum(if u plan on to wheel it hard) friend of mine bent the 2inch block and tore the nip off of it. axle flew forward and tore the bed apart.

Thats why we said to go with the ford keys. They are the same thing for a 3rd of the price.

i'm torn between fabtech, superlift, and pro comp. I leaning towards superlift because they use bilstein shocks and I prefer them. They have a few different options and I'm not sure which route to go. For the money I think I might as well just go for the 6" with 35's

My friend had a 6" superlift on his 1500 and it looked great.
his is the red one, the black one had a RCX lift

Well, for starters. Try not to base your lift around the shocks. Those are items that can be swapped and toyed with later.

The first place to start on a large lift is finding a good, reputable shop with a very compitent welder/fabricator with lift experiance get an estimate on the cost because fabrication and welding work gets pricey fast ( we have none in this part of AUS hence my keys/spacer lift)

I have personally seen all of these lift kits in action, they are all basically the same altho i think the fabtech and pro comp were a bit nicer all around than the superlift.

The Pro comp stuff: can be hard to source but is a really solid ride when done the right way, i rode in one at glamis a while back and it was sweet.

The fabtech: is pretty good with customer support and parts, if you need a hand they even have install techs that can get on the phone and walk you thru stuff. Customer service is #1 to me, so i wil be going this route as soon as i get re-stationed back in the states.

I would go with the fabtech, then again thats just me. If you get a 6 inch kit you will be happy either way so go for it!

Oh , here this might help. First pic is the yukon, bone stock (uncranked t bars) with 265/75/16's. Second is with superlift keys, and bfg ta 285/75/16's the difference is pertty apparent and i feel this is perfect for what i need here in the outback, a big lift out here means a big tow bill when you roll it.

Well I guess I have to find some new wheels too because the offset of my wheels won't work according to who I talked to. 20x8.5 22mm offset

Yeah your gonna be rubbin on something. The SS wheels are pretty popular so you should have no problem getting rid of them

True that. Seeing how I paid $350 with hubcaps and their curb and scratch free :). Any idea what the minimum offset should be? I'm searching the webs

I wanna say 4.5"s but im not sure. You should see it under the lift info. I know my rims were ran on the red 1500 i posted. My rims are 4.5"
