My 08 LT3 has auto-down front windows, but they do not go up automatically. Is there a way to make them auto up/down?

EUROPEAN Car Makers have this feature since the last 10 years PLUS, wonder why it takes GM that long to figure out that moving the window up is as important as down and it would be nice to have an "AUTO UP" feature as well.

Having to "hold" the button annoys me every time I roll my window up!

Negative. Not even an option. As a matter of fact I can't think of ANY gm car that has it.

Don't blame GM for this (non)feature-- blame the clowns who probably got their heads caught in the window and sued enough to bring about some legislative change. I'm betting that's the real reason these trucks don't have the auto-up.

Call it GOOD OLE American Engineering.

I would love to, but lets be realistic. GM does outsource, and many times that is to companys owned by other car manufacturers. Foyer example, the Chevy Cobalt power steering unit is made in Japan by a company owned by Toyota. However, there may be another explanation. I'd try asking Dorman/OES.

I am sorry, but I am missing your point. So if GM outsorces, that means the Engineers are not able to specify a switch that has the Auto DOWN and UP feature?

My company assembles light rail vehicles and with exception of the carbody/steel structure, we do not make anything and outsorce all the components needed to assemble the vehicle (which are a heck of a lot more then what you will use on any automobile). The Engineers still specifiy the product being outsourced and purchased.

I am sorry, I totally LOVE my Yukon, but there is no argument in my mind that European designs (Especially on the Interior) are far more superior then any US Carbuilder's. Compare the Interior of a Chrysler 300 to that of a BMW or an Audi. What about the Interior of an Audi Q7 compared to a Chevy Traverse or GMC Arcadia. Must I go on?
