im in the process of installing the mtx thunderform 10 with built in mtx amp (makes for a much easier install). i have bose w/nav, no dvd. almost done so i can tell u a few things. u have keep the bose amp and hook up a line-out converter (to the bose amp) to provide rca outputs. i used the PAC aoem-gm1416 which is plug and play for us. it also provided a remote wire for the new amp. i ran ground and power. mounted the mtx bass knob between the cup holder and flip-storage. if u get the mtx w/built in amp i will let u know what i did. the pac is so close to the amp i have no need for long rca wires. i orders two male to female 90 degree elbow connectors (could not find male to male 90 elbow) , and also ordered two male to male barrel connectors. doing this i think i should avoid any problems setting the cupholder back in place. will let u know how it sounds when i finish, waiting on elbows from china, good ole ebay. pulling the console. two screws each side, five screws rear cupholder area, four screws inside the storage area. rear stereo panel pops off two screws behind it and disconnect wires. pull cup holder up and disconnect wires. pull bose 5.25 sub. watch it ,the thing is a monster

Great, Thanks.
So you left OEM BOSE amp still connected to the rest of the car. Aftermarket amp doesnt interfere with the BOSE amp and vice versa?
Can you send me pics of the MTX box on each side ([email protected]). I have been looking at the box all over the web and they only show the front. I would like to see what kind of connections it has, etc.(or the other side to what web shows you).

Thanks for the notes on the arm rest removal. That was my next challenge, ;).

I hope it sounds a lot better than OEM.

the bose amp runs all the speakers and subwoofer. from what i understand, since bose is kind of tricky, if u plan on leaving any bose speakers in the truck, u have to keep the bose amp. it communicates with the headunit and bose speakers. the PAC line out converter plugs in-line with bose amp connectors. the aftermarket amp does not affect the bose amp. the connections on the box are on the opposite side of the sub (sub is bottom side, terminal connector on the top side). they end up being visable once u remove the cupholders. PM me if u need to call me.
