My local dealer has been waiting on a Ultimate allocation for me. They sold one in early May. They are an active small city dealer.

Probably end of august. 2024 is scheduled to start end of September.

Exercise caution if you are considering buying any 2024 GM vehicle. They are discontinuing Apple CarPlay. According to Car and Driver magazine, 87% of car buyers will NOT EVEN CONSIDER buying any vehicle without Apple CarPlay. Lack of Apple CarPlay will dramatically lower resale value.

I see the carplay removal as a plus myself.
Initially when apple carplay was announced I was hoping to overlay just about every app. not so. it’s pretty useless and has been exactly as it was released in 2014. sorry, but I find it a dog.

Nice work, I would imagine 2024 reveal in august
Unless you are buying fleet vehicles I would not use donlen’s dates. As far as I know Chevy is still accepting orders on tahoes. Not police Tahoe mind you

I thought the announcement was that GM is dropping CarPlay from EVs. Granted that may be a signal for other models in the future, but has there been an announcement for non-EVs?

As I understand it, CarPlay is still completely available through Bluetooth. GM is basically removing the direct connect button to Carplay to favor the Google gaggle of stuff. No matter what they do, Infotainment III sucked compared to II.

Just got my "order accepted" email yesterday, so they are still running the consumer version. Like someone said, maybe different for fleet/government contracts.
