Orange Beach (commute for work)

Edit: I live in Montgomery, but have a place in OB right over the bridge where the boats go in & out @ Cotton Bayou. I am down there a 2-3 times a month and am looking to permanently move there, hopefully this summer, but am leaning more towards Pensacola, it has more of the big city feel to me compared to OB.

What part of the coast? From where to where?
Cruisin' the Coast involves the entire MS Coast from Bay St. Louis to Pascagoula. Each town sponsors events, some several. The Casinos also get involved with cruise events and sponsoring big name entertainers and "tribute" acts. They have day and evening cruising in various towns, an auto auction, vendors and a swap meet, dances, etc.. It's motto is "America's Largest Block Party." This year there we almost 10K registered cars and an estimated 10k of informal cruisers plus 30K or so onlookers. A car must be pre-1990 to register. They do allow some customized or modded newer model, but I'm not sure what it takes to qualify for that category. They have daily cruise parades, raffles, give away cash and prizes, and each year they raffle a classic car. This year they raffled a restomodded 57 Chevy Belair. I'm unaware is there is any type of judging or awards for "best of" but I think not. Like I said, there are many unofficial participants cruising and showing their cars. And since this is S. MS, no one seems to mind. It lasts a week. The dates for 2022 are Oct 2-9. Here is their website: https://cruisinthecoast.com/
