i like it BUT
http://www.grillcraft.com/applications/2007_GMC_Yukon_.aspx/3|15/663/
http://www.ebay.com/itm/310660633067?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

i would only consider it in black of course

here are the things that im worried about

1-is there a matching lower
2-is the "2nd piece" in the kit the part that attaches to the hood
3-what EXACTLY needs to be cut, in other words, can the oem grill ne re-installed in the future for trade in or such instances

if anyone has this grill or considered it, please chime in

and if you have it, please post pics

thanks guys:head3:

Don't think you can modify your Denali grill to make it work. I checked it out before and came away disappointed. Not 100% sure, though.

I know there are no promises when doing things like this but seeing it on another Denali/Yukon would make me feel much better lol

I have the exact grill in black.

To install it, you have to cut out the original grill. I did it to my SLT grill. So there's no going back without buying a new grill.

The second piece is the lower insert that covers the tow hooks. Here are a few pictures for you;

I'm pretty happy with it, but will be switching for a Denali grill pretty soon I think.

Installing the grill is easy, taking it off is the hardest part lol.

The lower grill is so hard to put on. Took me a while but I did it without a lift or anything.

I have an OEM upper grill or 2 for a yukon sitting in the box ready to be shipped for cheap if anyone wants one (so you don't have to cut up your OEM grill)

I'm not hating at all but that mesh pattern is the same pattern as the home depot mesh you can buy a sheet of for 5 dollars and make 3 sets.

that being said, go and custom bend me the lower and upper trim pieces buying parts from home depot, powder coat/paint it and sell it to me for 100.00
lol

and i think a tight woven mesh looks better than a giant honey comb
just sayin

Nice! I think it'll look much better then your current setup Dave. With a color matched "GMC" right in the middle of it ;)

Fit / Finish / Quality of OEM > Aftermarket.

I had that exact grill and lower piece on my Denali that I sold about two years ago. I thought it looked great and it wasn't that hard to install. You do have to cut the upper grill, but wasn't that big a deal. I bought a older OEM grill off EBay and cut it up so I still had the stock grill to put back on when I sold it. I really liked the look and it was clean. Here is a pic of mine:

I think that grill is sexy

I would obviously want black as I'm eliminating some chrome on the vehicle

Did you buy direct or through eBay ?

I have to agree. I think that the silver version looks decent on the lighter truck but the black just looks cheap IMO. the other part tha ti dont like is it looks flat. does it have any contour? I like these style grills but with more metal, espcially since the grill on the GMC's is so large. I also think it would look much better with the GMC emblem in the middle also due to the size of the grill. I put something similar on a Blazer ZR2 that I had with the envoy front end and put a bowtie in the middle. I e coated and then BC/CC it black. I think it looked good. The grill was by street scene, I would think they would make them for your truck also. I have always liked the street scene grills

Here is the completed truck

and here it is with the bumper not finished
