Any ideas to replace center console rear audio controls?

Mine was a Bose system and has a dead text display with two volume knobs and 1/8" jacks. Is that supposed to be a stand alone radio or something? My display is blank but I noticed it gets hot. Worth fixing or what would be a good substitute? No kids back there, only a rear facing 1 year old right now.
