Hey all,

I'm looking for a decent license plate surround to clean up the unfinished appearance of my ratty plate.

I'm looking for something subtle, maybe in black, maybe chrome, maybe plastic, that isn't going to cover up the top and bottom so much that you can't see what state it's from.

Got pulled over back in the day for having a lightly smoked cover on my Mustang, so I'm not going to go that route again. Also, I bought a nice looking Tahoe one from chevymall.com a couple years ago, but it covers half the plate, and so it's just not going to work.

Thoughts? Pics? Thanks.

I suppose that's all I'm after. Have some more info on it? Material? Where you got it? Thanks.

O'Riley's has those...simple plastic surround. You could get crazy and paint it to the color of your choice. I color matched the chrome one i got.

Maybe not the option you're looking for, but I just used plastidip on the ones from the dealership to black them out
