Thanks for the advice guys on how to do the antenna delete.. took me all of 5 minutes and I'm very pleased with the subtle change! :) once again.. great idea

alright, heres the pics of my new antenna status.. I went to the hardware and found a rubber grommet and plastic cap that fit perfectly in the antenna spot. Pretty clean looking now :)

I did mine too, super easy mod but I do notice a difference in reception on one channel. It's cool though, nothing but crap on the radio anyway.

lol....but good job...how does the reception work out for you?

haha damn... sorry about that... but as far as reception goes I don't even notice a difference. i tucked the antenna alongside the rubber against the inside of the fender and then the tip into one of the two holes on the hood bump stop rubber piece.... Hope that helps a little

Instead of plugging the hole, you can buy the piece for a escalade and it doesn't have the hole.

If you reception isn't that good, try grounding the antenna. Like below:

Yah I saw that piece online.. pretty sick.. I'm content with my homemade plug for now haha.. I'm more interested in painting my grille right now

GMC sells a blank for $13 thats what I did, radio reception is now piss poor, but I mostly listen to sirius anyway

I don't listen to the radio at all, so when I do this I won't care. Probably better of going in to the dealer to buy it, as GMpartsdirect charges like 15 bux for shipping.
