I'm looking at getting a new tire/rim combo for my Yukon (these tires/wheels:http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-GMC-Si...&ps=63&clkid=82026997120731626#ht_4231wt_1037) or just get bigger tires on the stock rims.

Like I said, I did a search and couldn't find a good answer. If I got the 18" 2012 z71 rims with the 265 tires, would I have any problems with rubbing and would I need any back spacing? If I kept the stock rims (16") and got new tires, is the largest I could go around a 31x10.5 without rubbing? I looked into 275/70/r16 tires but there were very few options. I'd like to fill the wheel well a little more than the stock 245/75 tires.

stock rims on 31s will not rub thats what i ran with no lift and no crank as for the new z71 rims i dont think you need spacers or anything and shouldnt see any issue running the same size tire on them either as the actual size of the tire isant any different

Do you remember what tire you ran? I'm looking around and can't really find anything I like. I've only looked online, though; stopping at some tire shops tomorrow after work.

I had 32's on a 15x10 rim and i had to trim just a bit on the front lower valance. and crank the t bars about an inch. Ive also had 285's on the stock rims and i didnt need to trim but it did rub just a little bit on the lower A arm at full turn. The 285s were Baja Widetrac.

Hope this helps.

You do realize those rims are 6-bolt and the 1999 and older trucks are 5-bolt, right?
