Another engine build

Long story short, the engine I have now has less than 1500 miles on it, i've had nothing but trouble, now I have a cracked head (possible, losing coolant, no idea from were) or a cracked block, the engine builder has 2002 5.3 with 862 heads he want's to rebuild to go into my tahoe. I will be using my billet timing set in the tahoe now, I want to order a new Melling high volume oil pump. Anything else I should replace before he tears into it, he has a bad habit of putting cheap parts into my motor, already replaced the oil pump twice, had a rod break and he never replaced the rocker arms, he said they seemed to be fine?? So I will be ordering a set of Jegs new steel rocker arms.

i wouldnt do a high volume pump on an otherwise stock motor. if anything besides replacement OE use an LS6 or ported LS6 pump.

Quick question, I have a crack in the passenger side head, no oil/antifreeze mixing, so its in the cylinder or the exhaust port, cold start the ticking is pretty loud, once it warms up its constant but can barely be heard. The engine is rebuilt but he didnt catch the castech 706 head and im going thru one gallon of 50/50 antifreeze every 200 miles or so. Do you think I would be safe to purchase another set of heads, 862 casting of course, have them put on and be done with it? The engine only has 2000 or less miles on the new rebuild.
