Ok Making My LTZ mine, by adding Hidden Illegal lights behind my Grill.

All of my Chevys have had a pair of Narrow Spot minimum degree Air Craft lights!!!

When you remove the cover from grill to Radiator ….. The Grote .. brand name rubber housing light Buckets fit perfect without even drilling a Hole.

I Have the first one installed and the Aircraft Bulbs on the Way……. Just proving the install works…… And it DOES using Relay to feed 2 100 watt, 110,000 candle power….. Thats about a 20 AMP DRAW.

Cost for 2 Grote Par 36 mounts….. $40
2 Landing light bulbs….. 40
2 relays. ……. 20
14 gauge wire …. 20
1 toggle switch…… …………10
1 fuse holder ……… … 10

Not too hard just had to pull hood latch in 5 minutes, make spacers for mounts and run wires….

QUESTION for The group… where to drll thru or find grommet to use to bring wires for toggle. Mounting toggle Hidden down by hood release Handle

Behind the Grill lights installed using Fog light switch to trigger the Bosch 25 amp Relays.

50 watt flood bulbs being replaced with 100 watt Aircraft Landing bulbs that pull 20 Amps

110,000 Candlepower with very Narrow beam degree angle.

Did not even have to drill a hole to Light Up

you could use grommet under the brake reservoir , but there are a few items in the way on interior.
other option, i saw others use was grommet at front of passenger door.

Yeah, I wouldn't run them for long while you're standing still. They probably generate a lot of heat, so you might want to limit the amount of time they are on and only when driving. Also, mount them as far away from the grill as possible as the heat may warp/melt your grill. Of course if you have a metal grill the heat problem diminishes greatly. Aloha!
