Morning Y'all,

I tried searching and see these are available for the newer Gens. A brief summary....On my 08 Denali, I recently changed the rear suspension compressor and shocks as they were worn. The ride improved vastly so I decided to do the fronts. The truck had 2 inch lift blocks on the old front struts which leveled the truck out nicely. I got my hands on Detroit Axle strut assys, swapped those over and now the front of the truck sits almost an inch higher. Question....do I just drive it around and wait for the new fronts to settle OR does anyone make adjustable rear sensor links....thanks

If your Z55 suspension is working properly, the truck will self-level in a stock suspension setup (the whole purpose of the rear air shocks), so you may want to consider removing the front lift blocks.

I'm considering that but I don't like stock rake....thanks

Maybe I'm not understanding your meaning of 'stock rake'.

There is NO stock rake on a properly set up Z55 suspension, as there as an automatic leveling process that engages any time that you add significant weight to the rear of the truck, to re-level the truck. There is also an automatic level control (ALC) procedure that you run on the truck any time that you make suspension related changes (stock changes) using a quality bi-directional scanner that sets the baseline level of the truck.

perhaps the front and rear shocks were so worn that a " rake " was created? I bought the truck used a few years ago with Arnott components all around and the fronts had bypass sensors. When the air compressor started cycling all the time, I knew it was time for a change. Did the rears first, noticed a huge improvement, then did the fronts soon afterwards. All the height sensors are still there. I just want a level sitting truck

Sounds like you only need 1 inch front lift blocks.
You can make your own rods. Just go to Home Depot and get a couple 1/8 in ready rod and you can cut to what ever length you want. You only want to make them 1/8 in longer at a time and it might take 2 or three tries to get it just the right length.

my z95 has a decent amount of rake. it adjusts when loaded, but is about level with a good amount of tongue weight. bag psi was a 100psi. enough difference that I adjusted the head lights after being flashed a few times. once unloaded it about 2 inch higher in the rear than front and about 22psi in the bags but I can use a scanner to let air out and it doesn't really change.

is this not how everyone else's air ride works? I have new rear oem shocks/bags but original compressor and front struts. I've wondered if it's time to replace the compressor. but it seems to work. I don't mind the rake, but it would be nice if it did a better job of staying the same loaded or unloaded.

Did you replace the front springs when you rebuilt the front struts? I replaced my front springs at same time that I replaced my front shocks, and my front end was 1" higher after the replacement. I ran the ALC procedure, and my truck became level again (most likely be using the air shocks to raise the rear by 1").

UPDATE: yes, I used complete loaded strut assys. So yesterday I had my tech remove those lift spacers and as you stated, the truck now sits perfectly level with no rake. As I mentioned before, when I bought the truck 2 years ago, it had Arnott struts and air shocks on it. Now the truck rides great, where as before the air compressor always cycled and the front was clunky. I want to thank everyone here for your input.

As Hannibal Smith from the A-Team always used to say, "I love it when a plan comes together."
