I have a 2019 Tahoe Premier, when I press to activate the Cruise Control the Adaptive Cruise Control icon displays on the dash. When I try to set the speed I get a message on the dash "Adaptive Cruise Control Temporally Unavailable". The Cruise Control cancel button to the left doesn't turn this off neither does the break (not sure if that's a thing). It's only when I press the Cruise Control button to the right will it turn off. My issue is I want to change from the ACC to just regular Cruise Control but holding the cancel button will not switch it (what the manual said to do). When I bought the Tahoe it was lifted and has a Fab Fours Vengeance Bumper. I'm thinking there might have been an issue reconnecting the radar or sensor when this was replaced. I was unable to find the shop that did the install. Is there an easy work around to this? I tried to be as descriptive as possible. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Any codes from the module?
Yes, Action Required - Front Radar Blocked - See Owners Manual and Information - Forward Collision System Unavailable. I'd like to add that the sensor that controls the seat vibration still works when I pull up to like the garage.

Did you look underneath for the sensor? From your description it sounds like maybe that bumper is blocking it.

I'm not a car guy like that, but that was next on my list and take some pictures of what I'm seeing. Thanks

This thread might be helpful...looks like there are a couple locations for the sensor system, but chances are the aftermarket bumper is blocking the sonar signal and not allowing ACC to work

I live in Berlin Germany and trying to find out this: It's about a 2016 Escalade. The radar unit was purchased used as a replacement after the original was damaged in an accident. After installation, it obviously needs to be calibrated.

My question: After installation, the unit usually shows nothing when cruise control is activated – in other words, it doesn't work. Is this normal because it hasn't been calibrated yet?

Only occasionally, very rarely, the unit responds and cruise control can be set – but it stops working again after a few minutes.

Is there any chance to get this calibrated by myself?
