Replacing the compressor on 1997 Tahoe LT 2 door 5.7L, it has C60 front A/C. The old accumulator has the factory sticker on it and it says the refrigerant capacity is 3lbs. of R134. I can't find any chart that agrees with the factory sticker, they all say 2 or 2.25lbs. Could someone look at their Tahoe and see what the sticker says on the accumulator?

Lacking any better data I would go with the lower amount and then evaluate over a wide range of conditions. I would only add additjonal if there were clear and convincing evidence in favor. In general, refrigerant charge is an item where extra is NOT better than a little low.

The Ambient outside temp has to be considered when recharging your A/C. How do you plan on charging it yourself without gauges.

I’ve got a 1997 Yukon GT 2 door. See attached factory sticker on accumulator.
Thank You!!! I have gauges a vacum pump and plenty of experience doing AC work. I replaced the compressor, accumulator, orifice tube and flushed the system. I charged 2.25lbs. and it's cooling fine. Thank You again for the pic of the accumulator.
Just as a follow up in case someone is looking for refrigerant capacity on their truck. I'm working on a 1999 Yukon with rear A/C C69 and the capacity listed on the sticker on the accumulator is different than all of the charts you'll find. This one says Yukon/Tahoe 2lbs 12oz and Suburban 3lbs 8oz. Now this is for a system with rear air.
Also the 1997 is working fine with 2lbs 4oz in it.
