So I just got a 2005 Tahoe, and the A/C fuse 10A blows immediately, even with the ignition off. I’m not good with electrical, I would love some guidance, I am handy and ambitious enough to get it figured out, any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to TYF!

Is this the AUTO HVAC control, or the manual control?

Can you be more specific as to what the problem fused circuit is called? HVAC1, RR HVAC, ECC, A/C COMP, etc.? In which fusebox is the fuse located?

I'm not sure if the circuit diagrams will help you, but here's a link. Just use the links at the top of the page to select the correct vehicle.

I believe the ac comp fuse.thank you for the response! So the 10 amp fuse under the hood, next to the ac relay (middle fuse) for the ac compressor I do believe? Well it hasn’t popped now, had a road trip, replaced it. It’s working fine now, I guess I have to chase down the issue while it’s working.
