Guys Im gonna see what I can get for my tahoe. Only thing wrong with it is its gonna need the heads done. Round here thats $800 with everything included. This truck has been regeared with 456s. Has a Detroit TruTrac locker in rear. 6 inch procomp suspension lift with the MX6 adjustable shocks. 17 in Procomp rims. 35 in Procomp tires. Msd ignition 6a. Yellowtop Optima battery. 19 in flipdown screen. Wired for sounds. All belts are new. New hp oil pump and gasket. New timing chain and gasket set. New valve cover gaskets. New starter. New waterpump. AUTOPAGE TOP OF LINE 2 MILE ALARM. Scuffed for new paint job. $7500 obo...I paid 5 grand for the truck. 5 grand for lift/tires/rims. 1400 to regear and locker it. I'm shopping for a Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban now and one like yours that needs major engine work and that old is a $3500 vehicle; even with all of the mods.

Super clean examples with lifts are under $5k around here... And no rust!

If you can get $7500 for that thing up there, then I need to start buying them up and selling them up north...

I think your price is about right...maybe a tad high because of the heads problem if it were down south since there are so many of them. $3500 is really low though.

The cheapest lifted one I've seen was a '99 denali with a 6" pro comp lift, 3" body lift, 20" rims and 35" mud terrains that were brand new. It had a brand new performance 4l60e. It had a flip out dvd navigation unit as well. The bad: It had been keyed on every panel, with the words f**k and pu$$y written down to bare metal, the center console was gone, and the a/c was out. It sold for $4500

Your truck has a bad motor, high miles, and screwed up paint. It is a `97 that has been used and abused off-road. That is a fact. Mods mean very little in the real world of truck values when the truck is old and high miles with major issues.

Maybe in your area, there are enough stupid people willing to pay twice what it's worth, but not out West. That is why I premised my comments with your area likely being an anomoly.

You responded with cursing and personal insults.

For clarification, I'll post some actual examples of modified Tahoes/Yukons out here and you can see that your vehicle is not worth much out here at all...

I do have to agree that is a little over price, mods are nice but the bottom line a buyer looks for first appearance , mileage and body care. NOT SAYING UR TRUCK IS BAD LOOKING AT ALL. but with the paint, heads needing to be redone and mileage isn't super high but is for 7000+. also for needing new heads can be various of reasons but the main reason is driving hard. with the mods u have doesn't add a high range of value to the truck. they are more luxury to people.. people on the forums would appreciate the mods alot more then the average buyer just saying.
