Good for you telling the dealer that the hazardous disposal fee was something they left behind. That some stinky shnizzle they tried to pull.

Good advice on trying an Indi shop. I prefer diesel Indi shops. They can’t stay in business if they don’t know their stuff and since they work on the Professionals vehicles, contractors and such, their reputations carry a lot of weight.

SUCCESS! After several delays for weather, work and more weather we rolled the dice. They came up tear down and clean the throttle body. we took it apart one piece at a time and cleaned and reassembled. Several ov the valves were “sticky” but nothing excessive. More work and weather delays. Today we put it all back together and it seems to be working fine. No error codes. We put about 15 miles on it but stopped because it was getting dark.
We are wondering exactly what a “fast relearn“ is.
Drove it slow stopping and going for several miles. Then normal for 10 more. Going to drive it much more tomorrow.
thanks for everyones inputs and help we really appreciate it. Could not have done it without your help.
