Does anybody know who makes the CD unit in the GM 10359577 radio in my 2004 Tahoe. Also is there a model number for this unit? I took it out of the radio to take a closer look, but don't find anything. Googling any of the numbers on the CD player doesn't do anything. I am trying to find out if I can find a new unit somewhere because the old one is not working. Attached is a picture of the CD player.

DDG.AI says Delphi/Delco for standard units and Bose for upgraded units...

"The GM‑branded 6‑disc CD changers used in 2004 Tahoes were supplied by Delphi (formerly Delphi Automotive / Delco Electronics) — Bose provided the premium-branded systems, while Delphi/Delco made the standard GM OEM units."

I once took apart my 2002 Bose 6 CD Changer when it wouldn't work. I found that spot lubrication was all that was needed. It was an exceptionally intricate disassembly and reassembly particularly because I took apart more than I needed to. That required me to re-index part of the reassembly.

Thanks Fless for the link. I did some research and found out that these units are made by Panasonic for many manufacturers. Just because they look the same will not work. They are not interchangeable. The versions that would work for my radio and year Tahoe are E9291-1 and/or E9060A-2 of which your link is one of them. So that unit would actually work. Today I did some cleaning and checking on the old unit to make sure that it's not just a loose cable or something silly like that and tomorrow I test it in the car again and if it still acts up I will jump on the one that you linked

I understand that some people want to keep their cars "factory". Just for your consideration, take a look at replacing the entire Radio with something from Kenwood. That will give you Apple CarPlay. You can import any of your CDs into a Mac and it will automatically synchronize with your iPhone. That way, you don't have to figure out which 6 CDs you want to have in your vehicle. You will have ALL of your music in your car ALL the time. I did exactly that with a 2005 Mustang GT convertible that I have. (Not for sale.) good luck!
