has anyone ever swapped from a 6.2 to a 5.3?
if i had the choice between a brand new "FREE" crate motor in the 5.3 displacement or having to pay the $3500 for a quality 6.2 reman id absolutely choose the reman in 6.2. I am not bashing on the 5.3 just questioning why you would want to go backwards in displacement?
She’s a pig! We only drive it short trips around town when I have my other kids and with premium fuel I get 10.3 my old 03 suburban got 14-15 ish on low grade

This is strictly my wife’s vehicle I have never driven it (for certain reason) I drive my duramax and that’s it. She does have a heavy foot but dang 10 it’s crazy to me. She has her work car that gets 28 but it a turd and I refuse to ride in it. Broke flex pipe makes it sound great....I guess it’s time to buy a car for the weeks we don’t have all the boys
Where are you located and how many miles on the 6.2?![]()
South of Chicago 60 miles....I think 115-120k
sorry about your dic.....lol, sounds like you drive like me, my DIC is pretty much dead set on 10.4 (2012 6.2l Denali xl), I can make it go up by adjusting the lead in my foot
I'd say yes. Guys report better mpg, as long as you keep your foot out of it. Def better spg!Having a hard time justifying spending $600 for autocal
Submarine OutbackSmall city trips are going to be hard for the 6.2. Constantly stopping and starting, slow moving traffic is never going to get you good gas mileage. If you’re really concerned about fuel economy get your wife a submarine outback wagon. Room for the kids and still decent fuel mileage. The Denali 6.2 is made for long hauls. That being said a black bear tune will definitely help! Worth the expense!
