I've been doing a lot of research lately on lifts and what not. I already have a 2.5" lift/level in the front and I've noticed some other guys with stacked lift/level kits that are riding on 5". I have 2 questions.
1. How does that setup not destroy the ball joints?
2. Where does the second spacer go?

Yes you can stack level kits such as 2.5" on bottom and 1.5" on top. It will kill your ball joints so you need UCAs to correct that issue. Also have to watch the CVs and lowers with that much.

Don't do it. It is a horrible way to lift and will cost more in the long run.

If you have a 2wd you can do a 3" spindle and 2" leveling kit to get 5" of lift. But 4wd you should only do 3" max but 2-2.5" is the best.

I've got 2.5 right now. I think I'm just gonna go to a 3" full RC kit

If your considering the RC 3" kit skip it and get the RC 5" or Rancho 4", much better kits than the 3"

Well that's good to know. Out of the two which is better? The rancho is a good bit more expensive and it's less of a lift.

Both kits are good but I prefer the Rancho because of the one piece lower subrame diff drop brackets. That kit is more like a 5.5" kit, if you look at this post it shows the lift size on 33s.

My other kit option is Pro-Comp for their design on a 6" lift but think it only measures 5". Still Fabtech or McGaughys is top notch kit if you want to go 6-8". For a 5" kit I would get the Rancho all day long over all the rest except for CST. But for the money Rancho is a super awesome kit!
