My 4L60 finally gave up the ghost.
I recently swapped for a rebuilt 4L65.

Everything bolted up well, plumbed and filled.

Looking at my OBD II, looking at the transmission details, I see commanded gear.

In Park....with the engine running, it says Commanded Gear 1

Not sure what it usually says...in P

If it is supposed to be P or N as commanded gear... What decides that ?

What's actual problem? Is the new trans not shifting? No movement? Something else?

No problem yet... I just did the first start up with it and checking to make sure the neutral safety switch was working, no leaks,.etc... and looked at my scanner and saw that it said "Commander Gear" 1 and was just concerned and thought I'd ask before i went farther....
