You basically pull/tug straight inwards -BUT- you have to remove the upper plastic above it.
Remove the upper and lower cargo trim pieces.
The upper side/corner plastics have a screw cover. After removing the cover & screw, also pull inwards to remove.
Have to undo the power liftgate strut (clip) if equipped and unplug rear speakers.

If you want to fully remove, you will need to remove the 2nd row sill plates and 2 seatbelt bolts as well..
