3m for good protection?

Has anyone used the 3m clear hood and bumper film? Does it stick out on a vehicle?

No personal use but seen it several times. On new paint it is almost seamless. On older paint the film has a little more shine. On lighter colors its less visible. If you drive in areas where rock chips are possible or tons of bugs it’s cheaper than repainting.
