I could give two rips about other manufacturers problems in this discussion, because it does not pertain to Chevy not backing up failed paint jobs of hundreds of thousands of vehicles.
I get that. But the point was that all manufacturers have issues…switching to another one is just going to get you different issues.

Did you sell off the harley for a honda?

Just say’n.

I guess no point in starting a new thread. The same defects on our 2025. But what I wanted to ask, is, whether it's true that orange peel is worse now, due to water based paints and rush to cure? Pains me to say the orange peel reminds me of when a vehicle gets repaired at a body shop. Only difference is image/reflection isn't blurry. There's no way our vehicle was in an accident and repainted, we custom ordered it and got it days after it arrived.

This happened to me on my 2022 Denali. I had chips in the paint where it would be impossible for the chip to be caused by a rock or anything I would have done washing it. The dealership said to take it to a local body shop, and the owner looked over it with a fine tooth comb. He found two other spots that he guessed were from the assembly line also, so he wrote up a report and sent it to the dealership. The paint repair was covered under warranty. A pain in the ass...but at least it was covered. what should I tell the dealer and GM they don’t want to fix it they said it rock rock chips it’s all over my vehicle at door handles peeling mirrors my bumper misaligned and rubbing on grille and headlight chipping them badly in front and rear and even in door sills and under hood some parts are down to metal and rusting gm claims bumper got misaligned from rock chips but also my hood and windshield misaligned and dashboard misaligned my car is a headache with the many issues it has even the frame is misaligned they say not under warranty they even banned me from dealer for posting bad review saying they can and I cost them money

What are you working on, and how many miles? Year, make, model, mileage, etc.

My 2026 Tahoe has some paint defects as well; nothing like the OP though. Mine has some paint nibs and some areas that look like uneven clear coverage. I’ve owned several new vehicles and I’d give this paint a B. Not enough defects to complain about though.

Surprisingly my dodge challenger (2022) has really good paint that’s an A. Maybe only 2 nibs in it and the coverage was excellent.

Demanding perfection nowadays is a losing proposition, we have to settle for a B job or better.

What are you going on about? Did you buy a used vehicle that was in an accident?

Whatever you tell them, try using some periods throughout.

Theses are just some iphone photos of my 2024 yukon and ‘22 f150. The f150 lariat 502 on the right really looks bad.. because the hood was pitched on as the assembly plant kept on going. Not just the looking bad.. but the window was also 1/2” high on the drivers side.. on and on.. i agree my yukon has a little orange paint on the bottom.. gm assembly on my products is whales better than some others
