I haven't driven much lately, then today when starting up it stumbled for a second like a low battery charge, then started up. As I drove I noticed several warnings on the dash. Service Drivers Assist, Service 4WD, Leveling not Available. In addition, the 4WD symbol on the dash was amber as was the collision alert light. I drove for a while then parked it. After being parked and engine off for a few minutes, I started it up and everything was normal and functioning as it should. All warnings were gone. Could this just have been a power glitch or sag at boot up from starting with a low battery? Restarting later with a better charge cleared it?

Other than this, I haven't had any problems or issues with this vehicle. It's been perfect.

You probably have a failing battery and/or dirty or corroded battery terminal posts and connectors.

Batteries only last ~3 years these days. Being a ‘21 you’re on borrowed time with that battery. 99.9% certain it just needs replaced.

It really sounds like a battery. My ‘21 Tahoe will prob be acting that way.

My wires ‘20 Traverse did a similar thing last fall. Changed the battery and all is good.

I’ll warn you…the battery is like 50+ lbs and kind of a pain to deal with. I’d recommend having a dealer change it just to to the wiring and stuff that surrounds it.

It's unanimous. Pull out the battery, take it to a local parts store that has a bench battery load tester, and get it load tested. In all probability, you need a new battery, as these truck's electronics are very sensitive to low voltage situations.

FWIW, I have found that if I do a bunch of short tripping, putting the charger on and fully charging the battery about once a week helps a lot. My clue things are getting a bit low is that the Infotainment system does a full reboot every startup vs. quick starting from standby. Guessing there is some battery preservation algorithm that sends the infotainment to full shutdown if the voltage is low.

I just charged mine last week and put my battery tester on it. Says state of health is about 83%, so it is getting down there. Batt is a tad over 3 years now, so I am considering replacing...the advice to replace after 3 years is solid, I have taken to just doing that on my vehicles, that way you get to do it at your convenience vs getting caught somewhere w/ a dead one.

I don't doubt that at this age the battery may be going bad, however low battery charge is an issue I've had since I bought this vehicle. Just not the dash warnings. In the first six months or so I took it to the dealer thinking my battery was bad. They said it was ok, charged it up and told me to drive it more often. It seems like there must be a parasitic drain. If it goes three days without being driven, I can sense a slower crank when starting. Today I put it on my new charger and I'll see how it goes. Even If I end up replacing the battery, it's probably a good idea for me to charge it once a week since I don't drive a lot. I mostly do short trips. There's been no more dash warnings.

I charge overnight @ 6amps monthly, as we too drive mostly short trips around town. I got 67 months on my last Duralast Gold battery in my '07 Tahoe. I am currently at 50 months on the newest Duralast Gold battery installed 3/11/21. I also got 103 months on Duralast Gold in my '00 Siverado, and am at 34 months on the newest. I highly recommend the battery.
