I have a 2003 gmc Yukon. I had it sitting for 2 days with the battery unplugged as I have a battery drain somewhere. But when I started it, it gave me a bunch of warnings: they read as follows: service brake system, service stability, service 4 wheel steer, service air suspension, and service brake booster. The only light that normally comes on is the service brake system but that’s been on there past 50k miles. It’s totally safe. What can cause this? It’s a SLT model with about 185000 miles. The lights that are on are ABS light and brake lights which been on for a long time

Welcome to the Forum from NH.

Lots of knowledgeable folks here who freely share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. Knowledge is power.

I hope that you will become a participating member in the Forum's discussions.

Pics of the truck, please.

Typically, when a bunch of warning lights suddenly appear, it is an electrical issue, often a deteriorated battery or ground. In your case, you already know that you have a unknown parasitic battery drain.

Remove your battery and take it to a local auto parts store and get it bench load tested. If the battery fails the bench load test, replace it.

Check your battery cables with an Ohm meter, if you get any significant resistance, replace the cables, as these cables often rot from the inside out.

Check your battery ground strap from the firewall to the engine block. Make sure that the connections on both ends are clean and tight.

Check the major ground connection on the frame under the truck below where the drivers feet would normally be. Make sure that the connection is clean and tight.

Once you get through these steps and everything is verified as good or repaired, let's see if your dash messages disappear. Then, we can start to work on the parasitic draw on your truck.
